中国人买房子大家都见多了、经历多了，先看看美国人买房子的特点吧。
特点一：住房条件特别好。房子大多是小型公寓，通常空间很大，另外就别墅。独立别墅当然住起来更舒适，很安静，而且通常都有庭院。房前屋后是草坪，车库也有。有些别墅甚至带有私人的游泳池。这些别墅满足了家庭生活的需要，比起上百万在国内大城市买回个蜗居要好很多。
特点二：美国的房子，房子本身的价值并不高，一般房子的真正价值在于地皮。在美国买独立的别墅，一处一百万美元的房产，拆掉所有建筑以后出售，还能卖出80万美元；可见建筑本身的价格很低。地皮是真正属于买者的永久性资产，如果城市发展不错，地皮未来还是会增值。对比于中国房屋土地使用权的70年，在美国买房子买的是永远的“安心”，不必担心自己花了毕生积蓄买来的房子十几年后就无权居住。房子可以折旧、可以过时，但至少地皮这东西基本是不会损耗的，而且又是真正的价值所在，因此这样的投资是绝对值得的。
