In our society，honesty is still regarded as the most important virtue even in the highly commercialized countries，but there are still a lot of dishonest people.For example，some businessmen sell fake product to their consumers；some students cheat in the exams；some children cheat their parents and so on.
Dishonest people are short-sighted.In my opinion，I think almost everyone hate the people who are always telling lies，such as those who sell fake products may make money at frst，but consumers won‘t buy their products any more.As a result，they will lose their fortune.Though sometimes honesty may get you in trouble or hurt someone，honesty is better than lying.Evidently it is still necessary and essential.
Those who always tell truth or keep to their promise not only let others trust them but gain respect from other people.The persons with honesty are sure to have a lot of good friends，because they are trustable and respectable，everyone is eager to make friends with them.Besides，it is easier for a person to get a good job.Generally speaking，every employer wants his employees to be honest.So we can say that anyone who is honest will be paid back later.
In a word，honesty wins trust，respect and honor.Therefore，it is important that we should be honest.
