Bangkok has many festivals such as Songkran， Loy Krathong， farming section， King’s Birthday (National Day)， etc.， and most of them foreign tourists can participate in activities.
Songkran
Hold in April 12 to 15， Songkran is also the Thai New Year. The celebration is very colorful， and there are basically five elements： bathing， sanding， releasing， parading and splashing water. The most respected Buddha Paxin will be on display， there will be thousands of Buddhist disciples to splashing him. Foreign tourists are often covered in water by the street urchins in those days.
Loy Krathong
Hold in December by Thai calendar， Loy Krathong is Thailand’s major festivals， it’s also Thailand’s most popular in folk and the most poetic of the traditional festivals， as much as Songkran， in a wide popular. Early in the morning， Loy Krathong cheerful music came from the radio. At night， it was bright in the sky， water lights in the river rafting like a human galaxy.
Farming Festival
In May， the King selects a date. The ceremony hold in Wangjia Tian farming Plaza in the north of the Grand Palace， which lasted 2 hours. It is a grand ceremony， warm. Many visitors were attractted here to visit.
National Day
The Thai King’s birthday was on December 5. The government agencies around the country and houses will be beautifully decorated.

泼水节
泼水节在每年的4月12至15日举行。泼水节也是泰国新年。庆祝活动极为丰富多采，大致有五项内容，即浴佛、堆沙、放生、庆祝游行、泼水。最受尊敬的佛像——帕辛佛将被展出，会有上千佛教弟子向他泼水。外国游客也经常被街头顽童弄得浑身是水。
水灯节
泰历12月举行水灯节，这是泰国的主要节日，也是泰国民间最热闹、最富诗意的传统节日，不亚于泼水节，在民间流行甚广。这天一清早就从收音机里传出欢快的水灯节乐曲，到了晚上，皓月当空，河中水灯漂流，宛如人间银河。
农耕节
农耕节5月举行，具体日期由国王选定。农耕仪式一般在大皇宫北面的王家田广场举行，历时2小时，仪式隆重热烈，吸引众多游人观看。
国庆日
12月5日是当今泰国国王的生日。届时全国各地的政府机关和居民住宅会被装潢得美轮美奂。
