Chamorro People’s Cultural Life 查莫洛人的文化生活
The local people of Guam are called Chamorro people， a mixture of the blood essentially of the Spaniards， the Philippines， the Mexicans and other Europeans and Asians blood such as the Malaya and Indonesia. English and Chamorro language are their official languages. Their main religion is Roman Catholic.
Diverse Cultures
Guam is diverse in culture， in addition to locals and the continental residents of United States， there are a considerable number of Chinese， Japanese， Filipinos， Koreans and other Asians. There are many islanders from Micronesia， such as Palau， Yap， Truk， Pohnpei， Kosrae and the Marshall Islands.
In the recent years， a number of social and private groups developed the music， dance and other traditional arts in order to the benefit of local people and tourists. And the folk arts and crafts revived in Guam.
Guam Festival
Before World War II， the village was the main social and economic unit， retained the 19th-century Spain with similar customs and traditions. Each year， the largest social and religious celebration is held in honor of a patron saint. People from other villages can also celebrate together. For the time being， the custom is still remained.
The island not only celebrates America’s national holiday， but also some of the local festivals， such as the “Discovery Day” that commemorates Magellan reaching the island on March 6， 1521.
In addition， Guam’s museums and libraries can provide people with an active program. The universities also promote regional arts and culture. Guam also produces newspapers and magazines， radio and television.
当地的关岛人称作查莫洛人，基本上属于混杂了大量西班牙、菲律宾、墨西哥及其他欧洲和亚洲血缘的马来西亚和印度尼西亚血统。他们的官方语言是英语和查莫洛语，主要宗教是天主教。
多样文化
关岛在文化方面是多种多样的，除了本地人和美国大陆居民外，还有相当多的华人、日本人、菲律宾人、朝鲜人和其他亚洲人。还有许多来自密克罗尼西亚各地的岛民，如帕劳、雅浦、特鲁克、波纳佩、科斯拉伊和马绍尔群岛。

关岛节日
在第二次世界大战以前，村庄是主要的社会和经济单位，保留了同19世纪西班牙相似的习俗和传统。一年中最大的社会和宗教庆典是纪念一位主保圣人的节日，来自其他村庄的人也可以一起庆祝。如今的关岛依然保存着这一习俗。
岛上庆祝美国的全国性节日，也庆祝当地的一些节日，如纪念麦哲伦1521年3月6日到达该岛的“发现日”。
另外，关岛的博物馆和图书馆为群众提供活跃的节目，大学也促进地区艺术和文化。关岛出版一些报纸和杂志，还有广播电台和电视台。

Guam’s beaches not only attract the lovers of the world come to appreciate the romantic， but slowly become a Holy Land witnessing lovers into the marriage.
Before 20 years， the Japanese wedding culture penetrated into Guam. There are now four professional wedding companies， with a dozen wedding halls offering professional services for the lovers. The inner church is white， giving people a sacred feeling. Crystal Cathedral has a separate courtyard， where are planted a variety of flowers， there’s a garden of love to the couple. The yard has three subsidiaries of Hollywoodstyle， European style， Balinese-style villa. The bride make-up， guests wedding reception and other aspects are linked in a luxurious manner.
Currently， main guests of wedding hall are from Japan， Hong Kong and Taiwan in China. It also brings the high popularity to the high-star hotels in Guam.

20多年前，日本的婚礼文化渗入到关岛，现在已经有4家专业的婚庆公司，一共有十几个婚礼堂为新人提供专业的服务。现在杜梦湾边上的大酒店，大多有一座婚礼堂，婚礼公司借助酒店环境，开展礼仪服务。
世界新娘公司在太平洋岛俱乐部和万豪酒店都有婚礼堂，旺季的时候，一天能接待200多对新人。其中，水晶教堂最为有名，它位于酒店主楼旁边的一个悬崖之上，右边可以观看恋人岬，左边可以欣赏杜梦湾，正前方是一汪蓝色的海洋。
教堂里面遍体白色，给人一种神圣的感觉。水晶教堂还有一个独立的院子，里面种满了各种花草，给新人一个爱的花园。院子里还有好莱坞风格、欧式风格、巴厘岛风格的三处附属别墅，将新娘化妆、宾客接待等这些婚礼环节连在一块。
目前，关岛婚礼堂的主要客人来自日本、中国香港和中国台湾。这同时也带火了关岛高星级酒店的人气。
50. Kingdom of Tonga：The Nation with the Earliest Sunrise 日出最早的国家——汤加王国
Kingdom of Tonga is a Pacific island， with the International Date Line across it. It is the world’s first country to start a new day.
汤加王国是太平洋岛国，国际日期变更线从该国穿过，它是世界上最早开始新的一天的国家。
The Kingdom on the Holy Island 神岛上的王国
Kingdom of Tonga is referred to “Tonga”， Tonga’s name came from the name of the main island in the country. At that time， King of Tonga called the main island “Tongatapu”. Through evolution and development， it became “Tonga”. In the local dialect， “Tonga” means “Holy Land” or “Island of God”.
Tonga Royal Palace was founded in 1867 by George Tupou I. The whole palace face the sea， with red roof and white walls， the Red Cross flag of the Kingdom of Tonga flying over the palace， both dignified and quiet.
In 1875， monarchy began. Since 1900， it became a British protectorate. On June 4， 1970， it independed and became one of 188 United Nations member states.
Tupouto was the last Crown Prince， in 2008， he renounced the rights of all people of Tonga， gave up the power to Congress， and abandoned the monarchy. It was the end of 1000 years of monarchy， and The Kingdom of Tonga came towards democracy.
The capital of the Kingdom of Tonga is Nuku’alofa. To the tourists arriving here， visiting the Victorian-style palace is essential activities in Tonga.
汤加王国简称“汤加”，源于国内主岛的名称。当时的汤加国王称主岛为“汤加塔布”，这个称呼经过演变和发展，现在成为“汤加”。在当地的土语中，“汤加”为“圣地”或“神岛”之意。
汤加王国的王宫建立于1867年，由乔治·图普一世修建。整座王宫面海而立，红顶白墙，红十字徽的汤加王国国旗飘扬在王宫上空，显得既端庄又恬静。
1875年汤加开始实行君主立宪制，1900年开始成为英国的保护地，1970年6月4日独立，为联合国第188个成员国。
图普托阿是最后一位王储，2008年，他向全体汤加人宣布放弃权利，将权力交给国会，放弃君主制，汤加王国从此结束1，000多年的君主统治，走向民主。
汤加王国的首都是努库阿洛法，到达这里的游客，参观维多利亚式的汤加王宫是必不可少的活动项目。
