A Clink of Light in Life
Guidance for Reciting
Life is random and unpredictable, but sunlight always shines after storms.
It was a glorious morning―the forsythia was magnificent, the hedgerows were ablaze with broom and around every available tree trunk, tile daffodils nodded their agreement in wonder at the God-given day.
Suddenly, the sky darkened, the heaven opened and all that could be seen and heard was sleet, driving rain and the drumming of hail-stones. A different world?Yes,but even in such a bleak landscape, the heartening, warming sun-yellow of the forsythia, broom and daffodils lived on.
A bit like life itself, perhaps? No matter how dark our problems, there's always a clink of light to encourage us to keep on.
