If you feel that it hurts you，

关于Shoe：习语“shoe is on the other foot”暗含有“风水轮流转”之意，在不同语境下可译为“现在情形与以前不同啦”、“今非昔比”、“三十年河东，三十年河西”。据说，19世纪以前，鞋和靴子是不分左右脚的，两只鞋随便换着穿。但是如果你的脚一直穿同一只鞋子，久而久之，鞋子的形状就会与穿鞋的脚一模一样。到了这时，如果左脚再穿右脚鞋――不好意思――今非昔比，你很难再像从前那样不分左右脚来穿鞋。随着时间的推移，现代意义上的“shoe is on the other foot”有了其比喻义：双方地位发生了变化（风水轮流转；三十年河东，三十年河西）；今非昔比（形势与以前不同了）。
