These dark days，my friends，will be worth all they cost us，if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered unto，but to minister to ourselves，to our fellow men.

口语点津
本文出现了“worth”一词，在口语中，表达“这部电影不错，值得一看”的结构经常是It is a movie worth seeing；要表达“某事值得你花时间”，则是It is worth your while to do something；在询问某人为其做某事会得到怎样的报酬的时候，用“What's it worth？”是比较幽默的；在表达自己的见解也不一定对，“不管价值如何、不管有没有用”的时候，则是“My suggestion - for what it's worth - is that we buy a bigger car”（我的意见不一定对，但我建议买一辆大一点的汽车）；如果表达“某人值得尊敬”的时候，用“be worth his/her salt”。好了，我？嗦了这么多，你有什么感觉？但愿是――
