Dear Mr Jesse，I would like to take this opportunity to thank you foryour generosity in funding the Jordan R. Cruise MemorialScholarship to me. I am highly honored to be the recipient ofthis award.
I am currently a sophomore majoring in Math， and my GPAis 4.83. I have completed 40 credit hours by taking classes as apart-time student for the last 2 years. My goal is to completemy degree here at the University of Boston and then teach highschool Math in the southeastern part of Boston.
While attending school， I have been involved with severalprograms like the Future Teachers of America and LambdaLambda service organization. These organizations providefor tutoring and mentoring and do a weekly basis to twoelementary schools located near the university campus. I havealso helped organize three campus blood drives and food drivecamps.
Receiving this scholarship motivates me to maintain myGPA and complete my degree. I look forward to being able togive back to the community once I begin my teaching career.
