几年前，年轻的流行朋克摇滚乐队Good Charlotte的主吉他手Benji还没摸过一根琴弦，而主唱Jeol则没有好好地唱过一个音符。现在不仅他们的演出轰动了华盛顿，他们的唱片更受到全美年轻人的喜爱。Good Charlotte的音乐饱含流行摇滚的元素，歌词带有强烈的个人色彩，并常常充满幽默感。2002年他们发行了第二张专辑“The Young and the Hopeless”，抒发了高中生们想要战胜痛苦、学会生存的心声。

R. Kelly可以说是美国R&B和说唱音乐最出色的歌手、制作人和词曲作者之一，由他制作的音乐总能很好地把说唱音乐、R&B音乐以及灵魂乐完美的融合在一起并创造出优美的旋律，因而能够得到R. Kelly制作的专辑决不会让歌迷的耳朵受罪，同时他本人还是20世纪90年代专辑销量最好的男歌手之一。曾经由R. Kelly参与录制专辑或者帮助创作歌曲的歌星包括Whitney Houston，Michael Jackson，Janet Jackson，Luther Vandross等诸多音乐巨星。
