On Returning to Mount Song
On Returning to Mount Song
Wang Wei
The clear stream girdles a long range of trees.
My carriage rattles along with much ease.
The flowing water seems for something to yearn.
At dusk birds in succession fly to return.
By the old ferry stands the forlorn town
Autumn hills glow with the sun setting down.
At the foot of Mount Song, from far away
I get home and then close my door straightway.
