Overnight Tarry in Wang Changling’s Hermitage

Over there, flows the fathomless clear stream.
Where the hermit lives, roams the cloud lonely.
Through between the pine trees, peeps the moon dim
With its pure light shed first on you only.
In the thatched arbour, stay the flower shadows.
Where herbs are planted, profuse are moss grains.
Upon the world I too will my door close
To keep company with west mountain cranes.
