The Chinese nation evolved between two rivers, the Yellow and Yangtze, basins of wheat and rice, giving Chinese people characteristics of thrift and persistence, survival and an innate understanding of the forces of change which come with the revolving seasons and ever harmonious cycles of nature.
The philosophy of China is one of natural cycles, understatement instead of overstatement, using flow rather than force, movement over stagnation, an understanding that the only thing which remains constant is change.
