The Royal Institute of Technology (Swedish： Kungliga Tekniska H.gskolan， abbreviated KTH) is a university in Stockholm， Sweden. KTH is a public university， mainly funded by government grants. KTH was founded in 1827 as Sweden’s first polytechnic and is one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions of higher education in technology (the largest by certain definitions). KTH accounts for one-third of Sweden’s technical research and engineering education capacity at university level. KTH offers programmes leading to a Master of Architecture， Master of Science in Engineering， Bachelor of Science in Engineering， Bachelor of Science， Master of Science， licentiate or doctoral degree. KTH conducts top-notch education and research of a broad spectrum； from natural science to all branches of technology， including architecture， industrial economics， urban planning， work science and environmental technology. The university is very internationally minded， with a large proportion of students from all over the world. The growing number of foreign students has become an important element of the development of undergraduate and postgraduate studies. KTH’s main campus is located in Stockholm， within walking distance of almost everything the city has to offer.

Campuses： KTH has several campuses which are located in and around Stockholm：Vallhallav.gen， Kista， Haninge and S.dert.lje. Campus Valhallav.gen is the main campus， to which most of the exchange students have their departments. The other campuses are mostly for bachelor programs and there are only a few students that attend such programs that they have courses at two locations.
