None of you is invisible to me. You never have been.I see you， and I know how hardworking you are.I've been fighting for you my whole ***** life and I will keep standing for you and working for you every single day because in your courage and character， your energy and ingenuity， your compassion and faith， I see the promise of America every day.The challenges we face are great， but our determination is greater.
You know， I understand that a lot of people are asking， what does Hillary want？What does she want？Well， I want what I have always fought for in this whole campaign. I want to end the war in Iraq.I want to turn this economy around.I want health care for every America.I want every child to live up to his or her God-given potential， and I want the nearly 18 million Americans who voted for me to be respected， to be heard and no longer to be invisible.
You see， I have an old-fashioned notion， one that's been the basic of my candidacy and my life's work， that public service is about helping people solve opportunity， and that's what I want for every single American.
对于我来说，你们都不会被忽视，你们从来不会。我看到了你们，我知道你们是多么不辞劳苦地工作。我成年后一直在为大家努力奋斗，我还会继续支持你们，我会在未来的每一天都为你们服务，因为在你们的勇气和性格里，在你们的精神和独创性里，在你们的怜悯之心和信念里，我每天都会看到美国的美好前途。我们要面对的挑战是巨大的，但是我们的决心更加强大。
我了解许多人心中会有这样的疑问，希拉里想要做什么？她想做什么？我想做的就是在这场竞选中我一直奋斗的，我想要结束伊拉克战争，我想让经济复苏，我想让每一个美国人都享有医疗保险，我想让每一个孩子无论男女都能实现上天赋予自己的潜能，我想让这为我投票的将近1800万人民都能够受到尊敬，都可以发表自己的意见并被关注。
大家都知道，我有着固执的观念，这种观念是我能参加此次竞选以及我一生工作的基本原则，这种观念是我对公众服务保持着的一种信仰，那就是帮助人们解决问题并实现梦想。国家所为我提供的每一次机会，也是我希望每个美国人都能够得到的。

12.美国的变革（节选）
The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep.We may not get there in one year or even in one term， but America， I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there.I promise you-we as people will get there.
There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won't agree with every decision or policy I make as President， and we know that government can't solve every problem.But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face.I will listen to you， especially when we disagree.And above all， I will ask you to join in the work of remarking this nation the only way it's been done in America for two-hundred and twenty-one years-block by block， brick by brick， calloused hand by calloused hand.
What began twenty-one months ago in the depth of winter cannot end on this autumn night. This victory alone is not the change we seek-it is only the chance for us to make that change.And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were.It cannot happen without you， without a new spirit of service， a new spirit of sacrifice.
So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism of responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves， but each other.
前方的道路很漫长，我们的攀爬将很艰辛。也许在一年内或一届任期内，我们不能完成这些任务，但是同胞们，我从未像今晚这样满怀希望，相信我们可以实现这些愿望。我向你们保证，我们美利坚民族将实现这一目标！
我们会遇到挫折，会有几个失败的开始。会有很多人不同意我作为总统作出的某一项决定或政策，我们也知道政府并不能解决所有问题。但是我会向你们坦陈我们所面临的挑战。我会聆听你们的意见，尤其在我们意见不统一的时候。我会请求你们一起参与重建这个国家。最重要的是，用自己的双手，从一砖一瓦做起，这是美国建国221年以来的前进方式，也是唯一的方式。
自21个月前那个深冬所开始的一切绝不应在今天这个深夜结束。我们所寻求的变革并不只是赢得大选——这只是给变革提供了一个机会。假如我们仍然按照现有方式行事，就没有变革。没有你们，没有一个全新的服务和牺牲精神，这一切也不可能实现。
因此，让我们发扬新的爱国精神，新的责任感；让我们每个人下定决心，更加努力的工作，不仅关爱自己，也要关爱彼此。
