巫峡啼猿数行泪，衡阳归雁几封书。
青枫江上秋帆远，白帝城边古木疏。
圣代即今多雨露，暂时分手莫踌躇。

I wonder what you think when we are going to part.
Let’s stay horses， have a drink， and talk ’bout your banishment.
The Witch Gorge’s monkeys’ cry may make you weep and lose heart；
By Hengyang’s northbound wild geese your message may be sent.
The autumn sails fade away on the Green Maple River；
The old trees grow sparse by the wall of White Emperor Town.
As His Majesty is always generous with favor，
Our parting must be temporary， so don’t be cast down.
