关于marry的用法：
marry意为“结婚”，是及物动词。marry一词有不少用法，由于受汉语习惯的影响，中国学生用这个词时经常出错。现将marry的用法总结如下：
（1）marry sb。意为“娶某人或嫁给某人”，视主语性别而定。若主语为男性，意为“娶某人”；若主语为女性，意为“嫁给某人”。例如：①Mary married John。（玛丽嫁给了约翰。）②John married Mary。（约翰娶了玛丽。）
（2）get married（指结婚行为。）如：They got married last year。（他们去年结的婚。）
（3）be married表已婚状态，即有夫或有妻的。当强调结婚时间，与for引导的时间状语连用时，只能用be married这一结构。如：They have been married for seven years。（他们已结婚七年了。）
（4）get/be married to sb。意为“同……结婚”。如：①He is/gets married to an English teacher。（他和一位英语老师结婚了。）②She has been married to him for many years but she still doesn’t love him。（她已经和他结婚多年，但她仍然不爱他。）
