当石节子村民还没有完全从去德国免费旅游的幸福中消退的时候’熊猫人进村了。赵半狄先生带领他的熊猫团队来了,来给我们的父老乡亲拜年了,为我们村举办春节晚会来了他们的到来,打破了石节子村庄的安静,带来了祥和兴奋与快乐!为我们村的小朋友发放压岁钱,为男女老幼理发,为村民们书写对联、杀猪、办酒席、放焰火。熊猫舞蹈团与村民们共同举办了春节联欢晚会。在几十年不遇的寒冷天气下,老人和小孩们在院子里哆嗦着,但从他们的眼神中丝毫看不出要离开的迹象。当漂亮的熊猫小姐脱掉大衣,露出夏装舞起来的时候,全场的村民惊呆了,强烈的鼓掌,连声吼好,我们不冷了!
当孩子们手中接过熊猫人送来的铅笔和红包的时候,他们的喜悦无法言表,因为做梦也没有想到,不认识的不知道从哪来的身穿绿军装头顶熊猫帽的叔叔怎么给我们这么多钱。难怪他们大声地异口同声地喊:熊猫好!熊猫姐姐好!熊猫叔叔好!
我不知道也没有事先告知村民,他们的到来是否会打扰村庄的平静;我知道我还没有能力改变他们的命运,哪怕是能让他们得到短暂的高兴,我愿意做,我会继续的!

怎么萌发了到农村当一名村长,并且搞当代艺术的想法?
靳:一切都是自然的,我出生在石节子村,1986年考入西安美院,1992年分配到西北师大,1998年开始做当代艺术。我不存在到农村去的说法,那里本来就是我的家,是生我养我的地方,有我的父母,我的兄弟姐妹,街坊邻居。2000年从北京回到村庄,我就想艺术能否与我们村发生点什么,2002年我买了一台摄像机,自己拍一些录像,我想把这个村的状态带给外界,让城市的人们了解村庄。反过来把我所看到的和我所感受到的带给我的家,带给我的村庄,所以我先试着做了一些我的想法。2005年我自己在那儿做了《贴金》的作品,我发现艺术是能跟村庄产生一种关系的。2007年机会来了,艾未未给我们一个童话,去了德国,去了卡塞尔,去了敏斯特,看到了世界上很多艺术家的作品。
