Yellow leaves are falling on the forlorn fortress；
You leave the old pass in a way firm and dauntless！
Before you reach Hanyang Ferry where high wind blows，
You will pass Mount Yingmen when the early sun glows.
On the riverside how many of us here stay
To see your lonely boat bound for home far away？
Should one day we be able to meet again in fine，
Our parting sorrow would calm down by jars of wine.
