The setting sun has passed the west summit;
Countless valleys grow dark in a minute.
The moon showers night chill among the pine trees;
The winds’ and springs’ groans are heard ne’er to cease.
Nearly all woodmen are on their way home;
Birds have found their perches in misty gloom.
To come and lodge I’ve made with him a date;
On the vine pathway, with a Qin I’ll wait.
