生涯岂料承优诏？ 世事空知学醉歌。
江上月明胡雁过，淮南木落楚山多。
寄身且喜沧州近，顾影无如白发何！
今日龙钟人共老，愧君犹遣慎风波！

Liu Changqing
All my life I ne’er hoped for an Imperial special-grace decree.
How vain it is to lead a gay life with wine and songs， now I see.
In the bright moonshine o’er the river are flying southward wild
geese；
South of the Huai， shedding leaves on the Chu mountains are
many trees.
Though it is a comfort that I am to settle down near the sea，
Yet to see my hair so hoary in the mirror has much grieved me.
To-day， when older and older， weak and wan， have become we
three，
I’m sorry you two are banished too， though wary you used to be！
