其一
鹫翎金仆姑，燕尾绣蝥孤。
独立扬新令，千营共一呼。

Lu Lun
I
With his swallow tail of a pennon to wear
And his hawk-feather tufted arrow to bring，
He stands erect a new command to declare，
And a thousand battalions echo and ring.
其二
林暗草惊风，将军夜引弓。
平明寻白羽，没在石中。
II
Wind startles the grass in the dark forest；
The general draws his bow and shoots at night.
Looking for where his shot arrow does rest，
They find next morning it cleaves a rock right.
其三
月黑雁飞高，单于夜遁逃。
欲将轻骑逐，大雪满弓刀。
III
The wild geese fly high in the hazy moonlight；
The Xiongnu chieftain with his troops flees at night.
Our cavaliers are despatched him to pursue
With heavy snow shielding their bows and swords too.
其四
野幕蔽琼筵，羌戎贺劳旋。
醉和金甲舞，雷鼓动山川。
IV
Sumptuous banquets are spread out under the rough tents；
Natives come to celebrate victors’ achievements.
Drunk and fed， they dance merrily in golden mails；
Thunderous drums shake the very mountains and dales.
