轮台歌奉送封大夫出师西征
岑参
轮台城头夜吹角，轮台城北旄头落。
羽书昨夜过渠黎，单于已在金山西。
戍楼西望烟尘黑，汉军屯在轮台北。
上将拥旄西出征，平明吹笛大军行。
四边伐鼓雪海涌，三军大呼阴山动。
虏塞兵气连云屯，战场白骨缠草根。
剑河风急云片阔，沙口石冻马蹄脱。
亚相勤王甘苦辛，誓将报主静边尘。
古来青史谁不见，今见功名胜古人。
A Send-off to General Feng from Luntai upon His Western
Expedition
Cen Shen
At night the horns blow on the Luntai castle walls；
North of the Luntai castle the Hunnish star falls.
Last night passed to Quli was the dispatch urgent：
Chan Yu was found at west of the Gold Mount present.
A west view from the post finds blackened dusts there lie；
The Han camp is quartered at north of Luntai.
The general is ordered westward to march on.
Playing their fifes， his powerful troops set out at dawn.
Drumbeats on all sides sound like the gushing Snow Sea；
Shaking the Yin Mount the warriors’ shouts seem to be.
Men of the Hunnish camp are as dense clouds gathered；
Their white bones on the field are with grass roots tethered.
O’er Jianhe， winds blow hard and clouds are of broad flakes；
At Shakou， stones freeze and horse hooves come off for cold’s sake.
Vice Minister works hard for his lord and master
Whom he’ll repay by pacifying the border.
From history many heroic events we’ve learned，
But few of them can match his that have been mentioned.
