Retirement at Wangchuan — To Pei Di

The cold mountains appear verdant to grow;
Day by day, the autumn streams gently flow.
Outside my door I, against a staff leaning,
Hear in evening wind cicadas singing.
O’er the ford is left the sun’s afterglow;
From the village, a wisp of smoke high up goes.
The drunken hermit Jieyu you seem to be,
Singing wildly to Five Willows, namely me.
