春宫怨-A Palace Maid’s Lament in Spring
春宫怨
杜荀鹤
早被婵娟误,欲妆临镜慵。
承恩不在貌,教妾若为容?
风暖鸟声碎,日高花影重。
年年越溪女,相忆采芙蓉。
A Palace Maid’s Lament in Spring
Du Xunhe
Long have I troubled myself with my own beauty;
To improve my looks at a glass I’ve got lazy.
If fairness can’t help me to court royal favour,
To dress myself up will be a fruitless labour!
In the warm breeze, birds’ singing in broken notes fades;
Under the tall sun overlap the floral shades.
The maidens that come to the Yue stream every year,
While picking Fu-rong, will still miss me their mate dear.
