城上高楼接大荒，海天愁思正茫茫。
惊风乱芙蓉水，密雨斜侵薜荔墙。
岭树重遮千里目，江流曲似九回肠。
共来百越文身地，犹自音书滞一乡。

Merging into the wilderness stands the tower high；
My sad thoughts extend as the boundless sea and sky.
Rude blasts of wind make the lotus pool quiver so；
And showers of slanting rain beat on walls where vines grow.
O’erlapping mountain trees fail me to look afar；
Like my care-laden bowels， so tortuous rivers are.
Since we came alike to the tattooed people’s land，
I’ve not received any message in your own hand.
